Ryan trained at the Drama Centre London and joined the RSC shortly after graduating.  He has performed on stages all over the country and has had numerous stints in the West End.  Ryan made the leap into screen in more recent years, being cast in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy and is currently appearing as Louis XIII in The Musketeers for the BBC.  He performed in The Miser at the Garrick and most recently as Captain Walton in Frankenstein at the Royal Exchange in Manchester.

Ryan likes spicy food and is not afraid to eat curry for breakfast.
