After landing her first big TV job as MTV base show The Wrap Up in August 2014, Maya soon went on to present for MTV and Channel 4 among other networks, which was where her broadcast presenting career began. She has hosted many awards shows including the 2017 MOBO Awards, the carpet for BRITS & the 2020 EE BAFTA red carpet. Maya was seen in her first acting role as Brenda in Katherine Ryan’s Netflix series The Duchess which aired in 2020. In 2021, she presented the ITV music competition show, Walk The Line.

More recently Maya is currently hosting ITV2’s dating series Love Island and will host the 2024 BRIT Awards. She is featured on Editor in Chief Edward Enniful’s final British Vogue cover as one of forty female fashion icons.
