Jessamine-Bliss Bell is a queer British actor and writer of East Asian descent. She grew up in Paris before going on to study acting at The Lee Strasberg Institute in New York. She speaks in English and French and works in both industries.
Jessamine can be seen in Imogen (BFI, Alma Har’el), Pure (Channel4), Everything Will Change (TF1, Wim Wenders) and her most recent work includes the pilot Epic (ABC/Disney), Bodies (Netflix), If You Go Down To The Woods Today (pilot dir. Florence Kosky). She is the co-creator and writer of the film label EXT. ANGST whose trilogy A Study on Behaviour has been hugely successful in festivals. Jessamine is the writer and lead actor of Neither Seen Nor Heard, directed by Florence Kosky successful at both BAFTA and OSCAR qualifying festivals amongst others (NFTTY, Dead Center Film Festival, Norwich Film Festival, Interfilm Berlin, Kuki, No Coast Film Fest, Aesthetica, The Shortest Nights and EXIT 6). It has its worldwide online premiere on Girls In Film. She has just release Fetishize Me, her and Kosky’s third endeavour, which will enter the festival circuit this year.
She is currently working on her one woman show This Isn’t About Love, to be directed by Kosky in Fall 2023.
