Gay is currently playing Contressa Evangelina in Death Takes a Holiday at the Charing Cross Theatre.  Her latest productions include Funny Girl at the Menier Chocolate Factory and the award winning production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time (yes, she WAS onstage when the ceiling fell! ).  She made her name in the original London cast of Godspell in 1971, and played Madame Thenardier in Les Miserables for more than 1000 performances from 1988 to 91. TV series include Bless This House with Sid James, and Gay is the voice of ALL The Flumps.
