Fisayo Akinade was born in Liverpool but raised in Manchester. Fisayo is best known for playing Dean in Russel T Davies’ new shows Cucumber and Banana for Channel 4 & E4 and the BBC production of Ordinary Lies.  His most recent theatre work includes Romeo and Juliet, The Antipodes and Antony & Cleopatra all for the National Theatre and Shipwreck at the Almeida.

Fisayo used to want to be a gymnast, and may well have pursued it if he hadn’t injured his back and fallen in love with acting.
