Chris grew up in Manchester with his Indo-Trinidadian father and Mancunian mother. He has had an extensive career as an actor in film, theatre and TV.  Chris played Kash in Shameless and is currently a series regular on Emmerdale playing one of the soaps best-loved characters Jai Sharma.
